Buzzbox Group launched on they website a series of new VRAYforC4D architectural rendering tutorials, the first of which is now available in the tutorials section for free download (free registration required).
They kept things very simple with easy to understand instructions and keeping more or less to the defaults Vray gives, whilst retaining a high degree of photo quality rendering.
For our first instalment of tutorials we've decided on a simple timber lodge scene. The focus is on general illumination and scene lighting, so you'll find included in the main C4D directory three separate scenes - day, night and dawn. Each one of these has a C4D file for both high (production) quality settings and low (draft) quality settings.
Also included in the main C4D directory is the appropriate spotlight ies file and the pre-cached irradiance map files. The high quality files use pre-cached irradiance maps. Pre-caching irradiance maps can shave up to 50% off your final render time.
